Nikki Snell
I feel it is important to listen to the specific needs of each and every client, and I strive to come up with a style that is specifically designed and customized for you. A stylist is doing a disservice to his or her client, if they give a high maintenance color or cut to someone that normally spends no more than 15 minutes on their hair each day and only gets to the salon 3 times a year. I can do just about anything when it comes to hair, but if the hair won't do it, don't ask it to. The key is doing what will work best for you, your hair and your daily routine. One must communicate prior to pulling out the scissors. I also believe that it is imperative to take the time to make sure that clients are given the proper knowledge, tools, and products to complete your look at home. I consider myself successful when you leave my chair feeling better about yourself and the image that you project to others.I am a licensed cosmetologist, and a proud member of the North County Business Network, and the Encinitas Business Exchange and have received honors for my work with seniors and community outreach and volunteer work .
Some personal background tidbits..
Prior to becoming a hairstylist I was a Military Police Officer in the US Army. The military taught me discipline, time management, and that no matter how bad I was getting yelled at, it was impossible for me to keep a straight face! Stationed in Germany and Virginia I enjoyed traveling, but I am a California born native, and love living near the ocean. I also spent 9 years as a Veterinary Technician, and still have a soft spot in my heart for all creatures. It was after a near fatal accident that I re- evaluated my life and career, and decided to pursue my dream of being my own boss and doing what I love. It was then that I took a leap of faith and enrolled in Cosmetology school.
